Dr. Kay Van Erem is a North Dakota and Bismarck native graduating with honors from St. Mary’s Central High School in 1978.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in chemistry/ biochemistry with minors in both mathematics and music where she graduated in 1982.  She then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where she obtained a doctorate of dental surgery degree in 1986.
Dr. Van Erem returned to her home town upon graduation to open a dental practice and begin providing dental services to her community.
Dr. Van Erem maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association, the Missouri Slope District Dental Society, and numerous local dental study clubs over the years.
Kay is married and has had the privilege of raising two children, a daughter and a son, who are now pursuing their degrees in dentistry and commercial aviation.

Rhonda is generally the first face you will see on a visit to our office.  She is our office manager and has been with Dr. Van Erem since 1988.  She has over 20 years in office management experience, as well as business and accounting management.  She will assist and answer any questions you may have in regard to your treatment planning, account services, insurance coverage, and financial concerns.
Vonda is one of our registered dental hygienists (RDH) and is a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science.  She began her career in hygiene with Dr. Van Erem in 1990.  She is also the hygiene coordinator for the office and manages the recare maintenance program.

Lisa is also one of our registered dental hygienists (RDH) and holds a degree from North Dakota State College of Science in dental hygiene.  Lisa has a wealth of experience in her 26 year career as a dental hygienist and joined our team when she and her husband relocated to Bismarck in 2008.


Shantel is a certified registered dental assistant (CRDA) who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology from the University of Mary.  She has had experience as a radiology technologist, a dental surgical assistant, and as a general dental office assistant.  She assists Dr. Van Erem in her clinical procedures.
Katie is a registered dental hygienist (RDH) and is a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science with degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene, both of which she utilizes in our office.  She has been with our office since 2009 and came to us after several years experience in both fields.
